Report: Unicredit preparing for Russian unit sale

MOSCOW, May 11 (PRIME) -- Italy's banking group Unicredit has started preliminary negotiations to sell the Russian division, Bloomberg reported on Wednesday citing sources.

According to the sources, the bank is at an early stage of negotiations with potential buyers who are not targeted by the sanctions. Several financial organizations and firms considering getting a banking license in Russia are interested in the asset.

No final decision to sell the division has been made, the sources said.
